Applications for CivTech Round 12 are now open. Whether you're exploring the Challenges for the first time or preparing your application, we've pulled together some useful information and guidance to help you make the most of the application period.

Explore the Challenges

The first step is to take a look at the six Challenges in Round 12 and identify where your ideas could help solve a Challenge. Each Challenge page includes the Challenge brief, background information, Q&A recordings and links to apply.

Register your Interest

Once you've identified a Challenge you'd like to explore further, remember to register your interest through Public Contracts Scotland. This will ensure you receive updates relating to that Challenge and can access the relevant application information. If you're interested in more than one Challenge, you'll need to register your interest for each one separately.

Understand the CivTech Process

If you're new to CivTech, it's worth taking a few minutes to familiarise yourself with how the programme works. From application and interviews through to Exploration Stage, Accelerator and Demo Day, CivTech is designed to help you turn ideas into solutions for real-world public sector challenges.

And that's only part of the story. Successful teams benefit from much more than funding. the CivTech Accelerator provides dedicated support from the CivTech team and a structured workshop programme to help participants develop their product, build their business and prepare for future growth.

Applications for CivTech Round 12 close at 12 noon on 20 October 2026. The Round 12 page also includes important dates for interviews, Exploration Stage, Accelerator and Demo Day, helping you plan ahead.
