Traditional procurement works well when you know exactly what you want to buy. But what happens when you know the problem you need to solve, and the solution hasn’t been developed, or you aren’t even sure what good looks like?

CivTech helps public and third sector organisations explore new ideas in a collaborative, cost-effective environment. By turning your problem into a CivTech Challenge, we invite anyone with a great idea to propose a solution.

How do you procure a solution you don’t know exists?

Solve problems differently

Some of the best ideas come from places you would never think to look. By opening your Challenge to anyone with a great idea, CivTech gives you access to fresh thinking, new technologies and different approaches to tackling problems.

Explore solutions, shortlisted teams work closely with you to understand the Challenge and develop their ideas.

Sponsoring a CivTech Challenge doesn’t mean tackling the process alone

From shaping your Challenge and assessing applications through to working with successful teams and exploring opportunities for further development, the CivTech team will support you throughout the programme.

You bring the problem. We help create the conditions to find and test potential solutions
